i wasn't sure if it was going to hit water or land. i came out it and was looking at water plane was sinking. >> and we sent two of swimmers in the water when arriving there, they're assisted by citizens out there with kayaks and to help search the area one victim was pulled from the area next to the plane and pulled to shore. a 0-year-old woman who was deceased. >> we've learned she may be the girlfriend of the co-pilot. a friend of the owner did stop by. >> i don't know who was inside. but the owner owned gorman's steel. he was a b 17 pilot during the war. he was quite confident. >> reporter: he was a world war ii pilot decorated fighter pilot and he was 9 years old, not flying that much anymore. he may have been on board. we learned that the plane was headed south for a check for
